Creative process

This work draws inspiration from the traditional style of Chinese porcelain, combined with the vague concept of sleep paralysis, redefining the relationship between beauty and fear, expressing how fear often stems from ignorance. The elegance of porcelain style intertwines with the terrifying nature of sleep paralysis, aiming to encourage people to delve deeper into the unknown. I created two naked human figures and four mouths for display. Among them, two mouths are devouring the humans, who are curled up, expressing helplessness and fear through body language. However, they are not looking backward and are unaware that this is their most common feature, the human organ – the mouth.
