This artwork is inspired by the meat and fresh produce section in supermarkets, conveying the idea of human overconsumption and indiscriminate killing of animals. In supermarkets, workers slice and package the organs of dead pigs in plastic trays and cling wrap, making the fresh and cheap meat appealing to customers.
What if humans were laid on the chopping board and had their organs and other body parts removed by other creatures? I used four human organs to represent this concept, including eyes from different races, a brain, a trachea, and lungs with a hint of smoke flavor. The human organs are presented as fresh, clean food items in the artwork.
